History of A Soldier's Friend

A Soldier's Friend started in 2006 when a friend of ours in Iraq sent word that some soldiers did not receive any mail or packages from home...We hadn't thought about that and it touched us. We got things together and sent our first shipment to Iraq. That's all it took for us to be hooked on helping our soldiers.
We found out that, depending on location, soldiers may or may not be able to replenish the everyday grooming items they need...if the items are available to them, they have to buy them and a lot of items are just not available.

Our local paper published an article about our mission and the community started bringing in donations and writing letters...We would get the shipping boxes ready to ship and then someone else would bring in the funds to pay for shipping....We are certainly blessed to have a caring community.

We want to continue to support our soldiers and their families. We want to show that we appreciate what they are doing to protect us and our country. We need help to continue to do this....to be a soldier's friend.
